Click to listen to the podcast for this event! Peter Harnik from the Trust for Public Land
(TPL) Center for City Park Excellence reported on new research
about the economic value of Wilmington’s park system. TPL has
measured the environmental, recreational, health, property
value, tourism, and social benefits of our parks. This data is
expected to become a valuable planning tool for park
improvements. Mr. Harnik’s presentation was followed by an
audience forum to discuss park system priorities.
Sponsored by the DE Center for Horticulture, DNREC Division
of Parks and Recreation, Nemours Health and Prevention Services, Rotary
Club of Wilmington, Wilmington Beautification Commission,
and the Wilmington Department of Parks & Recreation.
Please stay tuned for a summary of the audience feedback.
