DCH Display Garden
FREE & open to the public

Come enjoy our beautiful garden transformed by fall. Stroll through, relax on our benches, or picnic under the pavilion where you'll find our new self-guided tour brochure. Check out our vegetable beds and ornamental plant combinations ideally suited for low maintenance urban and suburban gardens. During
the work week (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) enjoy our building and its gallery, library and restrooms. Guided group tours are available for a fee. Please contact Sarah Deacle, Assistant Director of Programs, at (302) 658-6262 ext. 117 for more information.

2nd Annual Wilmington City Gardens Tour
Saturday, June 21, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Members $15 w Non-members $20
Enjoy a stroll through some of the best gardens in Wilmington. Previous winning gardens in the City Gardens Contest will be open to the public on this self-guided tour. You’re invited to visit beautiful gardens at the peak of the season and talk to the proud gardeners who created them. Come and be inspired with ideas for your own garden. Who knows, you might decide to enter your
own garden in next year’s contest and get the recognition you deserve! A map, written directions and garden descriptions are included in the ticket price.

The Gardens and Homes of Tidewater Virginia’s
“Northern Neck”

Tuesday, June 10 – Thursday, June 12
Members: $750

Join DCH Staff to tour the plantation estates and gardens of Tidewater Virginia’s “Northern Neck”. An experience in history, horticulture, and colonial times, we’ll start our trip with a visit to the beautifully restored gardens at Mt Vernon and then continue down the peninsula visiting private plantation estates. Overnight accommodations at Stratford Hall Plantation. Trip includes bus transportation, accommodations, all meals, admission fees and tips. An Evening Exploring Wilmington’s Public Gardens
Thursday, June 12, 5:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Members and Non-members: $15
Enjoy this summer evening with a progressive picnic supper
hosted by Wilmington’s public gardens. Start with wine and
cheese and a stroll through the DCH gardens in Trolley Square.
Move on to Gibraltar Gardens to enjoy light sandwiches and the
Marion Coffin designed gardens. Finish up with dessert at the
historic Goodstay Gardens. Interpreters will be available at each
stop along the way to answer your gardening questions.
Rain or shine. Please register by June 2.
LOCATION: Event will begin at DCH. Participants are
responsible for transportation between gardens
