Stephanie Cohen is described as the “Perennial Diva” for
her experience and knowledge about all things perennial
plant-related. “The Perennial Gardener’s Design Primer,” a
book she co-authored with Nancy Ondra, is a best-seller,
and her spots on QVC have brought her entertaining style
to a wide audience.
Stephanie also taught at Temple University for more than
20 years and was the director of Temple’s Landscape
Arboretum.

at a specific project, this slide lecture covers the why, how,
what, when and where of turning an area of turf grass into an
aesthetically rich, environmentally functional, thriving native
plant community. Mark Gormel is meadow consultant to the
New York Botanical Garden, Phipps Conservatory, and others
in our tri-state area. He also works at the Brandywine
Conservancy, and has two meadows at his own home.
