Join us for the crème de la crème of horticultural events - the 26th Annual Rare Plant Auction®.

Saturday, April 29, 2006
Longwood Gardens
Kennett Square, PA

This year, the RPA will provide an opportunity to experience the beautifully restored East Conservatory and Ballroom at Longwood Gardens. We are especially pleased to announce that Tom Armstrong, Director Emeritus of the Whitney Museum, has graciously accepted our offer to be Honorary Chair of the 26th annual event, and Tony Avent, renowned lecturer, garden writer, and owner of Plant Delights Nursery will be the Celebrated Plant Expert.

All proceeds from the Auction go to DCH’s Greening Program, which uses horticulture to serve the residents of urban neighborhoods by caring for their personal well-being, and by promoting greater community cooperation and stronger human relationships.

Some of the events planned are a morning lecture, “Putting the Fun Back in Gardening”, by celebrated plant expert Tony Avent and a luncheon and lecture, “Roots in Art”, by Honorary Chair Tom Armstrong.

For more information , contact Barbara Belli, Communications Manager, at (302) 658-6262, ext. 28 or at bbelli@dehort.org.
