We are pleased to welcome Jeanne O. Shields as the Honorary Chairman of the 28th Annual Rare Plant Auction®.

Delaware resident Jeanne O. Shields currently serves on the board of directors of The American Horticultural Society.  Ms. Shields’ past community involvement is diverse and impressive.  The Delaware Theater Company and Handgun Control, Inc. (now the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence) have both benefited from her leadership.  She has chaired the Wilmington Flower Market and the Christ Church Green Show.  She has served as president of The Garden Club of Wilmington, the Children’s Home, and SODAT – a drug rehabilitation center in Wilmington.  Ms. Shields was also Vice Regent for Delaware at Mount Vernon, the home of our nation’s first President.
