ANNUAL MEETING & RECEPTION

“Kids, Crops & Community Take Root in
Delaware's First Urban Farm”

Have you ever wondered what happens behind the scenes at
DCH? In 2009, after years of planning, Delaware’s first urban
farm was established in Wilmington. Come hear Ann Mattingly
(our Community Gardens Manager) and her cohorts tell us
how this exciting project came to fruition. With their words,
pictures and videos, they’ll entertain us with stories about the
challenges they faced, the partners they recruited, and the
accomplishments - both large and small - that they are
celebrating. This presentation will include the opportunity to
ask questions and discuss the future vision for urban farming
and food security in Delaware.
