LANDSCAPE GARDENER

The Delaware Center for Horticulture, Inc. seeks a LANDSCAPE GARDENER to care for and help maintain established public landscape plantings on traffic medians and container plantings located in the city of Wilmington, Delaware. This seasonal position consists of full-time hours and could qualify as an internship.

Responsibilities:

The Landscape Gardener works under the supervision of the Landscape Maintenance Supervisor. Landscape garden maintenance duties include: weeding, watering, pruning, planting, mulching, litter removal and seasonal clean-ups.

Qualifications:

DCH seeks an individual with previous gardening and landscaping experience or a student studying Plant Science / Landscape Horticulture / General Agriculture with a keen interest in Urban Horticulture. Current driver’s license required with a good driving record.

Compensation:

Salary proportionate with experience: $8 to $12 / hour. Paid holidays.
